Privacy isn’t a feature bolt-on at 360 — it’s the core reason 360 exists. Most search engines and browsers generate revenue by building detailed profiles of your behaviour and selling access to advertisers. 360 does not. There are no ads, no tracking for commercial purposes, and no data brokers involved. What you search for is your business.

What 360 does NOT do

360 makes the following commitments to every user:
  • Build advertising profiles — 360 never creates a profile of your interests, habits, or identity for advertising purposes.
  • Sell data to third parties — Your personal data is never sold to any third-party company, data broker, or advertiser.
  • Share data with advertisers — No advertiser ever receives information about you or your activity on 360.
  • Serve targeted ads — There are no advertisements of any kind on 360 Search.

What data is collected

360 collects the minimum amount of data necessary to operate the service: Information you provide If you create an account, 360 stores your email address, username, and a hashed version of your password. Your password is never stored in plaintext and is never visible to the 360 team. If you sign in via GitHub or Google, 360 receives only your name, email address, and profile picture — never your password. If you use the chat feature, messages you send are stored as part of the chat service. Information collected automatically When you use 360, certain technical data is collected automatically, including your IP address, device information, browser type and settings, and usage data such as pages visited and actions taken. Cookies and similar technologies are used to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and improve site performance. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. How this data is used 360 uses this information to provide and improve its services, authenticate users, personalise your experience, maintain security, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. Usage data is also analysed in aggregate to understand how the platform performs. 360 does not use any of this data to serve you advertisements.

How data is shared

360 may share information with service providers that help operate core features, and with legal authorities if required by law. Analytics tools are used to understand usage patterns. 360 does not share your data with advertisers.

Data storage and security

All data is stored using trusted, encrypted third-party infrastructure. Industry-standard security practices including encryption and access controls are in place. No system is 100% secure, but 360 works to protect your information at every layer.

Your rights

You have meaningful control over your data at all times:
