# Install 360 Search on Windows, Linux, or Your Browser

> Download and install the 360 Search desktop app for Windows or Linux, or add the browser extension to replace your new tab with 360.

360 Search is available on the web with no installation at all, and as a native desktop app for Windows and Linux. A browser extension lets you replace your new tab page with 360, and mobile support is on the way. Choose the platform that works best for you below.

  The GitHub Releases page for 360 includes both **stable** and **unstable** Windows builds. Always download the build labelled **stable** for the most reliable experience. The unstable build is a testing release intended for developers and early testers.

    The fastest way to start using 360 is through your browser — no download or account required.

    **Steps:**

    1. Open any browser and navigate to [360-search.com](https://360-search.com).
    2. Start searching immediately. Every feature — Search, AI, Chat, News, Weather, Stocks, Translator, Games, and Apps — is available right away.

    The web app supports PWA installation. If your browser shows an install prompt in the address bar, you can add 360 to your desktop or home screen for a faster, distraction-free experience.

    The 360 desktop app for Windows gives you a dedicated, private search environment outside of any browser.

    **Requirements:** Windows 10 or later (64-bit recommended)

    **Steps:**

    1. Go to the [360 Releases page](https://github.com/360-By-360Digital/360/releases) on GitHub.
    2. Download **`360 Setup 2.0.3.exe`** — make sure you select the **stable** build.
    3. Double-click the downloaded `.exe` file. The installer runs silently in the background with no extra prompts.
    4. 360 launches automatically once the installation is complete.

    That is all there is to it. You will find 360 in your Start menu and on your desktop going forward.

    360 provides a native `.deb` package for Debian-based Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, Debian, Zorin OS, Linux Mint, and Pop!\_OS.

    **Steps:**

    1. Go to the [360 Releases page](https://github.com/360-By-360Digital/360/releases) on GitHub.
    2. Download **`360-desktop_2.0.3_amd64.deb`**.
    3. Open a terminal in the folder where you saved the file and run:

    ```bash theme={null}
    sudo apt update
    sudo dpkg -i 360-desktop_2.0.3_amd64.deb
    ```

    Alternatively, if you prefer a graphical double-click installer, install `gdebi` first and then open the `.deb` file with it:

    ```bash theme={null}
    sudo apt install gdebi -y
    ```

    Once installed, you can launch 360 from your application menu like any other desktop app.

  <Tab title="Extension">
    The 360 browser extension replaces your new tab page with the full 360 interface, so every new tab you open becomes a private search and productivity hub.

    **Supported browsers:** Chrome and all Chromium-based browsers (Brave, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, etc.)

    **Details:**

    * Built on Manifest V3, the modern and more secure extension standard
    * Replaces the new tab page (`chrome_url_overrides: newtab`) with the full 360 experience
    * Supports storage, bookmarks, history, side panel, and other browser APIs

    **To install:**

    1. Visit the Chrome Web Store (link coming soon) or load the extension manually from the [360 repository](https://github.com/360-By-360Digital/360).
    2. Click **Add to Chrome** (or your browser's equivalent).
    3. Open a new tab — you will see 360 immediately.

      The extension is currently available for Chrome-based browsers. Firefox and Safari support is not yet available.

  <Tab title="Mobile">
    Mobile support is actively in development. Here is the current status:

    **Android:**

    360 for Android is coming soon through the **Samsung Galaxy Store**. An `.apk` file for sideloading is also periodically available in the [GitHub Releases](https://github.com/360-By-360Digital/360/releases) — check there for the latest build.

    **iOS / Mac:**

    Mac desktop and iOS support are on the roadmap but are not yet available. In the meantime, you can use 360 at [360-search.com](https://360-search.com) in any mobile browser, or install it as a PWA from Safari on iOS for a home-screen shortcut.
