# 360 Search Settings: Customize Your Experience

> Explore all configurable settings in 360 Search — appearance, Bob mascot, background, temperature units, and account preferences.

Every setting in 360 Search lives in one place. Open the gear icon **⚙** in the top bar on any page, or go directly to [360-search.com/settings](https://360-search.com/settings). The settings page is organized into three sections — **Account Settings**, **360 Preferences**, and **System Info** — each accessible from the left-hand sidebar.

<Note>
  Settings are synced to your 360 account when you are signed in. If you are browsing without an account, your preferences are saved locally in your browser instead.
</Note>

## 360 Preferences

The **360 Preferences** panel (🎨) is where you control how 360 looks and behaves. All changes apply instantly — there is no save button.

### Appearance

The Appearance section groups your theme, dark mode, and cursor options together.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Theme" icon="palette">
    Choose from six color themes — **Ocean**, **Midnight**, **Sunset**, **Mint**, **Neon**, and **Mono**. Click any swatch to apply it immediately. See the [Themes guide](/customization/themes) for a full color breakdown.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Dark Mode" icon="moon">
    A single toggle that switches the entire interface between light and dark. Works independently of your chosen theme.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Cursor Style" icon="arrow-pointer">
    Pick from six cursor styles: **Default**, **Dot**, **Ring**, **Cross**, **Blob**, or **System**. Each renders a custom overlay (except Default and System) for a consistent look across all browsers.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Cursor Color" icon="droplet">
    Use the color picker to set a custom color for your cursor overlay. Click **Reset** to return to the default color. Applies to Dot, Ring, Cross, and Blob styles.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

### Bob

Bob is 360's mascot — an animated stick figure that lives in the search bar and reacts to your typing. Use the **Enable Bob** toggle in the **Bob** card to show or hide him. Bob is purely visual and has no effect on search results or performance.

<Tip>
  Bob reacts to every keystroke as you type your query. Turn him off if you prefer a distraction-free search bar, or leave him on for a bit of personality.
</Tip>

### Background

Customize the image displayed behind the 360 homepage search bar.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Upload an image from your device">
    Click **Choose Background Image** under the **Upload Image** row to pick a file from your computer. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use an image URL">
    Paste a direct link to any publicly accessible image into the **Image URL** field and click **Apply**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Reset to default">
    Click **Reset** to remove your custom background and return to the default 360 homepage.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Temperature Units

Choose whether weather data throughout 360 is displayed in **Celsius (°C)** or **Fahrenheit (°F)**. Click **Switch** in the **Units** card to toggle between the two. The current unit is shown next to the button.

This setting applies everywhere 360 shows temperature — the weather tool, homepage weather widget, and any other features that display temperature data.
