# 360 Search Accounts: Sign Up, Sign In, and Settings

> Create a free 360 Search account to sync your settings, notes, AI conversation history, and preferences seamlessly across all your devices.

A 360 Search account is completely free and entirely optional — you can use search, the AI tools, and most platform features without ever signing up. When you do create an account, 360 securely syncs your settings and personal data across every device you use, so your experience picks up exactly where you left off.

## Creating an account

    Select the **Sign Up** tab at the top of the account card.

  <Step title="Enter your details">
    Provide your email address, choose a username (3–32 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores), and set a password of at least 6 characters. You can also sign up instantly with **GitHub**, **Google**, or **Spotify**.

  <Step title="Confirm your email">
    Check your inbox for a confirmation email from 360 and click the link inside to verify your address.

  <Step title="You're signed in">
    Once verified, sign in and your preferences will begin syncing automatically across all your devices.

## Signing in

Navigate to [360-search.com/accounts](https://360-search.com/accounts) and make sure the **Sign In** tab is selected. Enter your email address (or username) and password, then click **Sign In**. You can also sign in with GitHub, Google, or Spotify if you registered using one of those providers.

## What your account saves

When you're signed in, 360 keeps the following data synced across your devices:

| **Theme preferences**       | Your chosen colour theme (Ocean, Midnight, Sunset, Mint, Neon, or Mono) |
| **Dark mode**               | Whether dark mode is enabled or disabled                                |
| **AI conversation history** | Your previous chats with the 360 AI assistant                           |
| **360Notes**                | Any notes you've written and saved inside 360                           |
| **Cursor settings**         | Your selected cursor style and colour                                   |

## Signing out

To sign out, go to **Settings → Account** and click **Sign Out**. You can also sign out directly from the account page by clicking the **Sign Out** button in your profile view.

## Security

Your password is never stored in plaintext — it is hashed before storage and is never accessible to the 360 team. OAuth sign-ins via GitHub, Google, or Spotify never share your password with 360.

  360 Search is recommended for teens and above. The platform is not designed for young children, and parents should use their own judgement before allowing younger users access.
